Show me the value!

Do you remember the old Windy's commercial "Show me the beef?" I loved those commercials! I can still see and hear that older lady slapping her hand down and crying out "show me the beef!"

The Bible teaches the moment I trusted Jesus for my salvation, I was given a new citizenship in God's kingdom, adopted into God's family, and now am part of God's dwelling. I belong, am in family relationship and experience a new intimacy with God. The Bible also teaches that each person is important to the church. Each person was placed there by God alone. Each person is to be valued. Each person is significant!

The problem arises when we don't show one another that they are valued! People can and do get their feelings hurt. People are not invited to contribute. People are under utilized for the mission God has placed before us. People are ignored. Unfortunately this happens in our church way too often.

So like the older lady on the commercial, don't hesitate to cry out "Show me the value!"
